Beloved 226

This photo project captures a dear friend of mine and the essence of her childhood home before biding it farewell. The only constant in life is inevitable change. Physical homes ground us the moment we are born. We take our first baby steps, have heartfelt conversations with loved ones on lived in couches, and share laughs over homemade meals. In these spaces, we encounter loss and pain, but also love and joy. As we soak in new experiences, develop our worldview, and encounter shifts in our life, we are confronted with larger questions about our place in the world—one beyond a caved-in space. What is home if not a physical haven? Beloved 226 will always be home, but home is also a cultivated identity—shaped by experience and relived through memory and nostalgia. Home is intangible—it lives within.
